On the auspicious occasion of ‘Shree Krishna Janmastami’, the school organised a range of religiously-imbedded performances involving students from Pre-school to 9th grade on 20th Bhadra.
The sole purpose of the celebration was to engage students in an array of activities who would discern the religious significance of Krishna Janmashtami since it is one of the most celebrated festivals by the Hindus.
Students’ captivating and spectacular performances brought the audience a state of contentment, which seemed to have been highly fulfilling, from the religious perspectives as LWS holds profound concerns about cultural, religious and ethnic beliefs and importance that need to be duly acknowledged.
The performances encompassed religious dances from different groups, narration about Shree Krishna’s life including his frolicsome childhood, singing, writing from dictation (Nepali language), speech, hymn and recitation of Bhagwat Gita—an epic of the Hindu religion, to name a few.
Overall, the event was grand that ignited the spark of religious value and tolerance and bolstered ethnic, cultural and religious harmony amid the students.
