CHARACTER COSTUME DAY

What an exciting day we had today at LWS!
The students of Grade Six, along with the teachers, portrayed the characters of the best-selling novel- ‘The Girl Who Drank the Moon’ by Kelly Barnhill as their participation in ‘Character Costume Day’, which was a part of the weekly cocurricular activities. The students dressed up like the characters of the novel: Luna, Xan, Antain, the Madwoman, Gherland, Glerk, Sister Ignatia, Ethyne etc., which ignited the excitement of the students who read the novel.
Since LWS believes in Learning by Doing, the programmes like today’s ‘Character Costume Day’ tailor the excitement level of students and enable them to engage in activity-based learning.
A big thank-you to the teachers whose guidelines were really constructive in this regard.
