2079-02-22 (5th June, 2022)

Lumbini Word School (LWS) organised a cleaning campaign on 2079/02/22 (5th June, 2022) to mark the World Environment Day. The students from Grades 5 to 8 were involved in the street cleaning campaign. The campaign was joined by the principal, vice principals, teaching and non-teaching team of LWS. The programme instilled in the minds of students that we must keep our surroundings clean in order to reduce pollution which causes innumerable diseases that sabotage well-being of human beings. Pollution has become one of causes of global warming that resulted in temperature surge globally which is a threat to human survival. So, let us unite for keeping our earth safe not only for us also for all creatures living here. The theme for this year’s World Environment Day is ‘Only One Earth’ which we must conserve to ensure healthy survival of human beings.
