Lumbini World School joyfully celebrated Pre-School Grandparents Day on Tuesday, 15th Ashoj, 2081, in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, paying tribute to the vital role grandparents play in students' lives. The event featured lively performances from FS-I, FS-II, and Pre-One students, including rhymes, dances, and dramas.
A key highlight was a touching drama on community helpers performed by FS-I students, alongside a heartwarming piano recital and a talk about Dashain and the nine Durga goddesses. Additionally, a fashion show by Pre-One students, dressed as various community helpers, added a fun and educational element to the day.
In a special moment, the Principal honoured the attending grandparents by presenting them with Khada scarves, symbolising respect and gratitude. The event concluded with warm speeches, including best wishes from a grandparent, making the day memorable for all involved. This celebration beautifully highlighted the strong bond between generations.
