SYMPOSIUM OF PROSPECTIVE PARENTS AT DREAMLAND GOLD RESORT

Lumbini World School (LWS) successfully conducted a symposium of prospective parents at Dreamland Gold Resort, Manigram on Saturday, 10th Baishakh in the presence of a prominent academician of progressive education in Nepal, Mr. Medin Lamichhane, Principal of Ullens School, Lalitpur and Senior Advisor of Lumbini World School and hundreds of prospective parents and distinguished guests.
The opening of the programme was done by lighting the panas by the Chief Guest, Mr. Medin Lamichhane, accompanied by LWS Chairman, Yogesh Ghimire, Member of Parliament Hon’ble Pramod Kumar Yadav and Board of Directors. Following National Anthem fired the nationalism in the participants present.
Mr. Gokarna Pandey, director of LWS gave a welcome speech.
Hon’ble Pramod Kumar Yadav, advisor of Lumbini World School, highlighted the importance of practical-based education in Lumbini Province.
An overview of LWS Teaching and Learning Methodologies and plans given by the Principal, Mr. Bishnu Dhakal ushered the significance of progressive education to its greater heights. His presentation was followed by ‘Introduction to Classroom Teaching’ by Ms. Lajita Sharma (Vice Principal, Academics), Lumbini World School.
As the session progressed, Ms. Anamika Bashyal Jaiswal, nutritionist for LWS spoke on the importance of nutrient-rich food for holistic development of children which is ensured by Lumbini World School.
Remarks and vote of thanks was given by the Chairperson of Lumbini World School, Mr. Yogesh Ghimire.
Subsequently, Mr. Ramesh Mani Suvedi (Vice Principal, Operations), Lumbini World School introduced the Chief Guest to the participants.
Finally, Mr. Medin Lamichhane gave Insights into practical teaching which is essential for today’s generation. He went on to say it’s pivotal to understand the cognitive capacity of each learner to ensure academic achievements and said that there are differentiated teaching-learning methods to teach learners differently as per their learning abilities. He also added that classroom teaching should not be limited within the boundary of the school as there are many things outside the school which students should embrace throughout their learning process.
Another attraction of the programme was the demonstration of real classroom at the event.
The programme was followed by dinner.
