Lumbini World School (LWS) has organised a 4-day workshop on ‘Professional Development Training for Teachers’ by subject experts in Kathmandu from 25th-29th Chaitra 2078.

The Day-I Programme Highlights:

•The first day of the workshop was based on setting frameworks for teaching which has been developed by Curriculum Development Centre (CDC), Nepal. The first and foremost process involves generating a concept before embarking on teaching.

•There were three different sessions, each of which incorporated teacher involvement in generating a wide idea before formally teaching a lesson.

The teachers were involved in a rigorous process of generating ideas and clarifying the concept which they will apply while teaching students. The event was informative and engaging which allowed teachers to plan, prepare and implement their pedagogy in their workplace.

The workshop was facilitated by Senior Advisor of Lumbini World School, Mr. Medin Lamichhane, who is the Principal at Ullens School, Lalitpur and Ms. Ekta Rana, Vice Principal regarding the concept of teaching students beyond boundaries.

Teachers were happy to be part of such a workshop that enabled them to generate ideas with big concept before commencing their classroom teaching.

The workshop will continue for three more days, and the participants are expecting that their curriculum frameworks, which they prepared during training session at LWS, will be strengthened to usher teaching and learning activities of LWS into greater heights.
