LWS TEACHING-LEARNING EXPO-2079 CONDUCTED

Since Lumbini World School (LWS) is driven by the philosophy of ‘Learning by Doing, on Saturday, 8th Ashoj, the school organised ‘LWS Teaching-Learning Expo-2079’ to showcase the Creation, Art, Science Projects, English Literature activities created and made by the students of LWS. The participants met the LWS young innovators who excited the guests with their jaw-dropping projects. The school also celebrated its 100th day of teaching and learning since its establishment.
The opening of the programme was done by the Masters of Ceremony, Suyog Bhandari and Smita Bista, who are the eighth graders at LWS. The formal programme began with the lighting the Panas by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ram Krishna Khand, the Mayor of Tilottama Municipality, the LWS Chairperson, Yogesh Ghimire, Principal, Mr. Bishnu Pd. Dhakal and DSP, Thug Bdr. KC. As all private and government schools are operating under the supervision of the local government, it was quite appropriate to invite the Chief of the local government-the mayor- to the event as Chief Guest. As the event progressed, the National Anthem and Tilottama Municipality song were sung by all the invitees present at the event. Subsequently, a singing group of LWS welcomed all the dignitaries, principals and teachers from various schools, parents, and students to the programme.
At the ceremony, the special guests, Chairperson of Ward No. 13, Mr. Narayan Dhakal and Tilottama PABSON President, Mr. K.N. Sagar Gyawali spoke on the importance of establishing a school that focuses on learner-centred education. They expressed their happiness that Lumbini World School, which is considered to be a unique learning centre based on its pragmatic teaching and learning activities, is creating a milestone in bringing students at front while teaching them life-skills.
The principal of LWS, Mr. Bishnu Dhakal gave an overview of the teaching and learning of 100 days at LWS. He insisted on the fact that LWS has been established to prove that students themselves are capable of learning and teachers are just the facilitators. Mr. Tek Nath Bashyal, who represented all the parents, said that LWS is doing both small and big things very scrupulously and differently. The school has not left any stones unturned in terms of practical education where students are always at the centre.
The Mayor of Tilottama Municipality, respected Ram Krishna Khand said that Lumbini World School has earned a fame and fortune in term of delivery of practical education where students are motivated by self-learning philosophy. The local government would not discriminate private schools since they have made commendable contributions to the development of education sector in the country.
The concluding remarks was given by the Chairperson of Lumbini World School, respected Yogesh Ghimire who promised that the school will never compromise on things that might decline the reputation of the school and learning calibre of students.
The guests were given the tokens of love.
