LWS CONCLUDES PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE AND PERFORMANCE CELEBRATION (TERM 2)

Lumbini World School (LWS) successfully concluded Parent-teacher Conference and Performance Celebration (Result distribution of Term 2) on Saturday, 23rd Poush 2079 at its premises amid a large number of valued parents, guardians, teachers and students.
The opening of the conference was done by the Master of Ceremony, Mrs. Lajita Sharma (VP, Academics) with the National Anthem, followed by the presentation by the School Principal, Mr. Bishnu Pd. Dhakal who highlighted LWS Teaching & Learning Methodology.
As the event progressed, respective subject teachers’ team from Grades 1 to 8 (Mr. Kiran Kafle, Mrs. Ranjana Acharya, Miss Manisha Thapa, Mrs. Sirjana Pantha, Mrs, Kamala Khatri, Mrs. Srijana Pokharel, Mrs. BIshnu Khatri, Mr. Padam Singh Thakuri, Mr. Nawaraj Niraula, Mr. Krishna Prasad Sapkota, Mr. Prabin KC) showcased their teaching activity photos and explained how they facilitate students with classroom teaching and beyond it. Dr. Min Pd. Khanal explained how LWS is conducting Innovation and Design class that has made lasting impacts on learners. ‘LWS is committed to preparing innovators by the end of this session, who are untiringly involved in generating innovative ideas through their rigorous entailments in a range of activities’, he said.
In addition, Ramesh Mani Suvedi (VP Operations and English Head) highlighted the teaching strategies of English team that involve students in witnessing real things while acquiring knowledge of English language. He was accompanied by Mrs. Tanisha Basnet, a teacher of English.
Mrs. Suriva Roy, who provides clinical services at LWS, talked how the school is cooperating with children with different health issues. LWS Nutritionist, Mrs. Ambika Bashyal Jaiswal spoke on the priorities of LWS on nutritional and healthy meals for young learners.
The concluding remarks and vote of thanks was given by the school Chairperson, Mr. Yogesh Ghimire, who reminded the parents that LWS would make a major break-through in teaching-learning sphere in Nepal. He further said that the school’s new state-of-the-art infrastructure will allow all learners to experience cutting-edge technologies and wide range of learning resources along with extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The ultra-modern science and computer laboratories will excite students to engage, reflect and equip themselves with modern skills which will bestow on them rewarding learning outcomes. The infrastructure will be used in a full-fledged way after a month. The Chairman thanked all teachers and administrative staff for their untiring efforts.
At the ceremony, a couple of parents, who represented the voices of all LWS parents, expressed their accolades for fulfilling the dreams of parents in bringing paradigm shift in Nepalese education sector in Nepal.
The school distributed the second issue of newsletter—The Mirror— to the participants, which accommodates curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of students.
The event was followed by lunch and distribution of students' learning report.
