CELEBRATION OF 58TH NATIONAL CHILDREN'S DAY

Lumbini World School celebrated the 58th National Children’s Day on Wednesday, 29th Bhadra with a range of activities involving students from grades 1-8. The students were really excited to witness a variety of cocurricular and extra-curricular activities. LWS feels proud that its students participate in the events with true spirit of ‘Learning by Doing’ model adopted by the school.
The event highlights:
• Group Singing and Dancing by the students of Grades 1, 2 & 3
• Drama Performance by the students of Grade 4
• Art and Craft by the students of Grades 5 & 6
• English Speech by the students of Grade 7 (House-wise group presentation)
• Nepali Speech by the students of Grade 8 (House-wise group presentation)
• Rocket Launching by the students of Grade Three
Apart from these events, the Principal, Mr. Bishnu Pd. Dhakal talked about the significance of connecting our education with daily activities that we perform since morning until we go to bed. He went on to say LWS has proven that it has introduced many student-centric activities which the school advocated in the beginning of the academic year. The activities conducted at LWS are directly connected with cultural practices, rituals and festivals.
Moreover, a session titled ‘identifying the childhood photos of teachers’ ignited the excitement of the spectators. Also, the Academic Director and Research Head, Dr. Min Pd. Khanal Shared his childhood memories and highlighted the significance of ‘सोह्र श्राद’ which involves worshipping and remembering of dead parent(s) for a month in Bhadra.
During the event, Drisna Chhetri, a student of grade 3 who won the viewers’ choice award at Lumbini Dance Icon, was awarded for her victory and taking the fame of school to greater heights.
There were interesting games for both male and female teachers.
Vice Principal, Ms. Lajita Sharma had conducted the event in which Mr. Ramesh Mani Suvedi, Vice Principal, had also shared some of his thoughts.
