As part of their curriculum and LWS's philosophy of promoting hands-on learning, Grade 9 students participated in an educational visit on Monday, 10th Mangsir to explore the operations and impact of cooperatives.
Students visited Lumbini Specialised Cooperative Union Ltd., Tilottama, a union of 141 cooperatives that also runs a dairy product industry. They observed the cooperative's organizational structure and its contributions to the local economy. Similarly, they explored Annapurna Biu Utpadak Krishi Sahakari Sanstha Ltd., Suddhodhan, which manages seed production and ensures distribution to rural farmers, showcasing the vital role cooperatives play in agricultural development.
The visits, facilitated by Mr. Damodar Pangeni, a cooperative expert, enriched students' understanding of cooperative principles, socio-economic impact, and industrial operations. This hands-on experience connected theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, fostering deeper learning and engagement.
Lumbini World School extends heartfelt thanks to the cooperatives and Mr. Pangeni for their support in making this visit a meaningful and successful learning experience.
